VIN on Windscreen
« on: August 24, 2019, 05:56:20 »
Hi All,

I noticed something for the first time on my 250SL recently - the VIN was etched on the windscreen (just to the right of the steering wheel - RHD).

I assume this means it is the original windscreen?

Cheers

Rob

It may be that a PO had this done as an anti-theft measure. This was popular for a while.

Ok, so it was not an MB initiative.

Explains why l didn’t notice it on other Pagoda’s.
