Changes on production specs

Dear all,

I refer to the last edition of Pagoda World, which I read with great interest.
Changes on the 280 SL specs are listed on page 15, but a doubt as crossed my mind:
a) on page 19, it says that changes to specs from April 7, 1970 are applied to all cars with VIN above 17306.
b) I happen to have accessed the delivery date of my car (VIN=21859) on the EPC and it states April 11, 1970.
It seems inconsistent or incorrect.
Can anyone clarify?

What does your VIN tag in the door Jamb say?  Your's is new enough to have the production date in a "4/70" format in the upper right corner.  My car shows 4/70 production with a VIN of 173XX which would be consistent with the Pagoda World article.

Thank you for the tip.
I have checked the plate and it says 10&70, which is consistent with the PW article.
I am a little surprised, just because I got the info from the previous EPC (Electronic parts catalog) and assumed it could only come from MB itself.
Now I am curious and will look for additional info on the original invoice (I have it somewhere).

My car is 22774 and has a delivery date of 12/16/1970

Mine is 167xx and has stamp March 1970 on the data card.
