Is This Drain on Both Sides of the Car?
« on: March 01, 2020, 13:07:43 »
This particular water drain - I have the pictures of the passenger side (LHD) (the right hand side). I do not have this drain on the left hand side. Probably the chassis guy replaced some panel there and did not re-create it, but wanted to make sure as I would have to drill it if it should be there.

Is this drain on both sides or only the passenger side (LHS)?

Thank you!

According to these photos it is only on the passenger side.

Sead, it is there indeed, thank you! I was looking for it in the same symmetrical place. On the pictures sent by WRe it is exactly where you indicated.

Thanks again!

Are you sure that is a drain?  I have a funny feeling there should be a rubber chassis plug in those holes.  I assume they were there to allow primer to enter and drain when the chassis was dipped and should be plugged to keep water out.  Let me check my photos and see what I can find.

Please kindly check. These are, however, not typical holes, but rather this channel type drains, not sure there are plugs for it...

My mistake.  I was thinking about the holes in the face of the section.

Ok, thank you!

I think the "drain manual" could use a better photo of the upper part of this section (under booster, near the overflow coolant tank).

No plugs allowed, must be open so as to serve as drainage!
