reproduction rubber weather strip

Hello,

Has anyone had any experience using the reproduction rubber seals on their w 113? If so how was your experience.

I am planing to replace my door rubber seals and saw that SLclassics sell reproduction rubber along with the original rubber. I am still awaiting for the quotation but was wondering if there is a difference between the original and the reproduction other than price.

Cheers,

Joelj

I know that some of the reproduction windshield seals are to large, and do not fit.

That's true. Some repro rubber is real junk.

Actually I got my new windshield seal through Van Dijk as an OEM item and it was too large. According to Van Dijk this is the way Mercedes now delivers them.

I bought some door seals that were close, but didn't fit...required cutting out one inch at a corner for proper fit...worked, but not an optimal solution...

buyer beware

I have found that OEM parts look, fit and seal better than the repo parts I have received.  Use OEM if you can.
