Are there 3 idler arm styles

Searching through the forum it seems that most of the idler arm repair posts are about the earlier style with the grease fitting on the bottom. Mine is the newer version without the grease fitting so I ordered the kit with the rubber on the bushings as shown on the bottom of the picture. However I took out the old ones after the fact and found that instead of the rubber buffer wrapped around the bushing I have a thick metal bushing inside the tube. I have looked for but haven't found a repair kit like my original bushings on the top of the pic below. Is there a third style kit our there like my my bushings or am I somehow suppose to remove the thick metal bushing inside the tube?

Never mind I figured it out now that I see it in daylight. It’s the same as my kit  now that I can see it better.

Seems to me, the rubber in these repair kits is not of suitable quality/hardness.
They allow slop in the steering linkage after just a few years of use (the idler arm moves/tilts).
Anyone having the same experience?
