Seat back vent
« on: April 26, 2020, 22:34:08 »
Is there a different part number for the 280sl plastic version. Anyone know where it’s available from?

The metal version is available from authentic and Mercedes but only need to replace one on my 280sl.

Thanks

I’m based in the USA so would be easier to buy here. The part number for the metal one is 113 914 0059 according to authentic classics. Seems to be approx $125-170 from dealer but difficult to know what version it is.

Thanks in advance

The part number A113 914 0059 (escutcheon) I can find only in the US/Canada part list. So chances are it is the plastic version.

There is no such escutcheon at all on World/Europe part list, or I just cannot find it. There is just a back panel PN.

As you may have some of them from mrfatboy, this is just for information.

Should you need to confirm what a part is, you have Tom in Classic Center USA, who is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Thank you. Hoping mrfatboy has one else will try the classic center.

This is definitely the part number as it’s stamped into the plastic but sellers using the same number for the metal versions.

My MB dealer can source that part number from Germany but not sure at this point what I’d get.

For archive purposes the part number didn't change between the older metal ones and the newer plastic ones which makes life complicated - Very un-German :)
