SL's in San Diego
« on: March 12, 2005, 00:18:04 »
Reading thru many of the postings, I've noticed many owners from the San Diego area. Would anybody be consider getting a small group together or meet if I could work it out?  Maybe a wine area drive/tech/BS event.

Hi, 1. Just saw 'Sideways'. 2. Just did the Sonoma and Napa thing. 3. Live in Boston, MA. 4. Sounds like a great idea. 5. Have Camcorder, will travel. 6. Low budget film - w/plot(key-lovesick, neurotic SL seeks compassionate tuneup, maybe). We'll buy out Coppolla.

Hey Michael. I'll let Glennard answer your second question! As for first, I hope other owners chime in. San Diego is a great place to own a Pagoda. Me and My 230SL lived there for 2 years when I was in Graduate school back around 1990. I loved taking rides to Julian, over to Coronado, and of course, cruising through La Jolla. Car just fits in there.

If you or others are looking for a little longer drive -- we are plotting a get-together up North -- in the Sierra foothills. Probably late May -- early June. Bring your weather with you  8)

Mike,  FYI  What you suggest is basically the plot of the movie 'Sideways' i. e. Some guys get together, drive a convertible(Saab) thru the wine country, make asses of themselves in a lousy plot, philosophize on the tech of wine, etc, etc.  Pagodas can do better!
