Sindelfingel Karosserie body designation

Does anyone know where to obtain two "Sindelfingel Karosserie - Daimler-Benz AG" body designation marks, one for each front fender? I have only seen it once, but it looks really nice. See attached file.

Hello,

The MBs from the early 50ies (pre-Ponton cars) had these in the area where lower rear corners of engine hood, front door and fender meet. At least the better ones (like 170 S convertible A, 300 S or so). I am not sure whether usual 170 V or 170SD and so on had these as well.
The sign might still be available new or from specialized dealers. Perhaps reproductions are available.

Definitely not original on Pagodas - but looks nice, sure. ;)

Hi Boys,

A little quibble with you... the Sindelfingen (note spelling) badge was not only not original to the Pagoda (one quibble) but I'm not sure the Pagodas were ever manufactured in Sindelfingen, because it was not the original main operation of MB (two quibbles).

Unterturkheim was where all the engines and drive trains were made and where the first Pagodas at least were made.  Does anyone (Achim?) know if the Sindelfingen location manufactured any Pagodas or parts?  After the War, they started farming out certain bodies to Sindelfingen.  Perhaps Pagoda was one of them, but I don't think so.  I would be careful of putting something sooo out of character on this car, unless you do it reversibly!  My two centavos.

Well, I'm not so sure. At least it seems as the W113 was developed at the Sindelfingen works. See attached file with a scanned section of the works drawing for the 280 SL displayed on page 58-59 in the book "Fazination SL". It clearly states: Daimler-Benz A.G - Werk Sindelfingen.
