1970 280SL "Headlamp Door" part number

Does anyone know the part number for the "Headlamp Door" for a 1970 280SL? It appears that there may be 2 part numbers: 1138200266 which is the bezel, glass(plastic) and housing and 1138260689 which is without the housing. It is the "latest version" or the AJ type.

I phoned the Classic center (Woody because Tom Hansen was out) and he gave me the 1st number which is, the dreaded words, NLA.

Any help or advice is appreciated. I am looking to purchase both but will post in "wanted to buy" if I can't find anyone who might still have a pair.

It seems I only have the numbers for the Euro headlight, if that is of any help: The chrome frame/moulding is 113 826 0189. The glass is 113 826 0290. Then there are separate numbers for the fog light an main reflectors or a number for the glass/reflector assembly 113 820 0461

However my headlights are for US model. Based on what I have, the headlight consists of the chrome bezel, plastic that is attached to the chrome and the "housing" that attaches that holds the bulbs and the wire plugs into it. One part number is for the whole unit and the other is without the housing. Hope this helps.

It looks like 73 or 76. As you see the numbers are without the plastic harness that hold the bulbs. My guess is 76 just because my 280SL is a late model. If it helps my last digits of the vin is 13110.

72 and 75 are much more expensive - I think they contain the lamps housings.

All of it is NLA, I am afraid.
