Starting my restoration now

I will start posting pictures whenever I get a chance.
Started working on the suspension. Spend a few a hours blasting. Epoxy primes and painted today with Eastwood Satin 2k chassis black.

Picture of assembled suspension. Will install the leaf spring and stabilizer bar plus complete dotology after install.
All new parts. I used Febi kingpins. Only issue was, I had to use the original knuckles. I could not get a spacer to work even after sanding. Seemed like the taper of the new knuckle was off.
Next job, differential. As my wife says this is a labor of love!?

Some pictures of the differential prep. I blasted the items (Except the pinion housing) and used Eastwood paint.
I bought most of the seals and rubber items from Mercedes directly online - www.mynewbenzparts.com. Prices seem to be reasonable (at least what I tell my wife  ;)). Also bought the sleeve mounting from KKMFG. Starting the assembly and will post pictures as I go.
Made a tool out of pipe to install the trailing are bushing.
