pagoda wood trim

Hello all,
This is a quick thread to ask if anyone would be interested in a wood trim set.  I've just had one made by a master craftman with excellent results using my existing trim set as a sample.  To my eye it appears near perfect.  The trim is made from 20 year old seasoned burma teak.  An exotic wood from the far east regarded as the best (used on old Rolls's).

If anyone is interested I may be able to have some pictures taken.

I am presently on vacation and will not have this access again.  Please let me know if you are interested in the next day or two.

The costs are as follows:-
150 sterling with the center tray.  100 sterling without.  Plus shipping from London. This is for a lhd set only as that was my sample.

For my personal use i have had an additional armrest made and a RHD set(inverted lhd) made as well).

And yes i took my wood set on vacation

Cheers
Kay

Hey Kay
Does the set include the speaker grill?
Does the craftsman want to make only lhd sets or is he willing to make RHD sets too?
Were they finished / stained by him or you?
Pics of the product would be good.

Bob,
The set includes speaker grill.  The wood is unstained and not finished ,as i did not see anything in the shop that had a mirror finish.  In fact there were no finished prducts.  This guy is more of a handcarver.

But they may still be able to do it, i have'nt enquired as i wanted to do mine myself and have not yet decided on the finish.

The sample i gave him was a LHD set hence i cannot say with certainty that a rhd is a going to be correct.

Having said that i am getting a set of RHD made, as well,by asking him to make a set of inverted LHD (mirroring).  Ofcourse tray and grill will remain the same.  So it is possible to have more sets made in theory, but it may not be perfect, i cannot say.

I will take pictures when i have the complete set (within 2 days)

Kay,

I'm interested.  I love teak and know it well.  Can I assume that they are solid, not venier?  Pics would be great!!!

Let me know.

Not sure if anyone would need this but I'm now offering wood restoration as part of my expanding serivces. Any veener you want but walnut, birch and macsar were probably the most common used.

Joe,
Here is a pic.  its all solid (no veneer), the wood is very slightly lighter than the pictures suggest.   It can be finished and laquered too if needed.

Gee I always thought that Rolls used 100 year old Circassian Walnut...

... Nothing says you've arrived like a Rolls-Royce. ... Wilton wool carpets. Circassian Walnut waistrails and folding picnic tables. Lighted vanity mirrors. ...
