Power Steering Fluid Quantity
« on: September 06, 2020, 12:58:34 »
Hi guys,

I am very low on power steering fluid. Currently the car (250sl) seems to have red ATX fluid. I am looking to change it to Febi-Bilstein Power Steering Fluid 08972 and of course will perform a system flush to replace this fluid plus replace the filter.

Do you know how much Febi-Bilstein Power Steering Fluid will I need (I already bought 1q of this liquid)?

Thanks!  :D

May want to check if the fluid you are going to use delivers on MB norm 236.6. If not, use one that does.

Hi,

Thanks I'm using https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/Q1460001M36.htm?pn=Q-1-46-0001-M36&bt=Y&fs=0&SVSVSI=W113

It seems to be MBZ Approved:236.3

Will it work?

Good question, actually.

In the Maintenance Manual we say:  Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) spec. MB 236.6

Here we say 236.3

Which one is it? Got confused myself, I thought I knew that...
