Idle RPM increase when brakes applied...
« on: March 31, 2005, 13:06:14 »
I presume this is vacume (sp) related..  My questions are:  1. Is it normal ?  2. Presuming it is not normal, where do I start to look to fin the problem ???   Right now I'm Idling around 900 rpm, but pressing the brake pedal kicks it up 300-400 rpms momentarily (or longer if I pump the brakes).  By itself this isn't too annoying, but I wonder if I may have an opportunity to improve overall performance here?

Thanks !!!

Lou,
Hello and welcome to the Group!  As I do to all new users, I suggest you start looking with the Search tool, located in the top right corner of this screen.  I searched on "vacuum brake" and found three pages of results, including the following:
