More song on the Pagoda
« on: April 05, 2005, 00:24:54 »
Hi,

I would like to equip my 1964 230 SL with a Remus rear silencer/muffler and saw this one on e-bay, which seems too good to be true:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7966087809&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Has any of you experience with this company - look at the prices - seems very strange and it could be a fraudulent set up.

Question is also if it fits the Pagoda’s exhaust pipes?

By the way, anybody who has experience with installing 'sports' exhaust systems to the Pagoda? - Yes, I did read the discussions re. mild versus stainless steel options, original versus aftermaket, but experience with systems with a little more song...?  :D

Cheers

Finn

Obviously the intended selling price is probably $27.88 (like the others shown at the bottom of that page) not $7.88 but I've still got to think that is way to cheap to be legit.

Makes me think of the old adage, "if its too good to be true, it probably is"........ ;)
