Exhaust tips with downpour?
« on: November 27, 2020, 23:45:52 »
I just bought out an entire inventory of a Mercedes specialist repair shop unfortunately not alot of w113 parts but some 126 Parts which work out great for me I came across a box of exhaust tips one was still in the Mercedes bag the other ones were not but they have no part numbers on them does anyone know are these legit Pagoda parts or are these 111 parts or? And does anyone happen to have a part number on them with this strange exhaust cut thanks Bob

Don’t hold me to this 🤣 What are the length of the exhaust tips? I have seen 165mm, 175mm, and 185mm lengths.

I believe 😳 175mm is the pagoda size. 185mm is for other MB cars. 165mm were used on porsches.
They all look the same.

The square profile rolled over tip is the original. Most of us beside a lucky few have the round profile as in your pictures.

Can’t remember where the pointed down cut out tips are from.

More knowledgeable people can post 🤣

Hello Bob,

The parts number you requested depends mostly on the (inner) diameter of the tips, which has to correspond with the exhaust system of that particular car.... andnot so much with the length....
There aren't oo many choices of "length" you can choose from. Given the pic of your car I would suggest 52 mm inner diameter...;
in such a case the parts number could be A123 492 0714.

Had those tips many years (some decades) on my 114 but finally replaced that by the non-downpour same one,
whose MB number is A123 492 0614...,
which looks like the factory one our car had when new .... 8)

Hi Bob,

I fitted these  A116 492 05 14 to my Pagoda in 2017, after having destroyed a pair of my wife`s  white trousers, as she was standing behind the car when I started it !

They work fine.

They were £12 each from Mercedes then.

see this post from 2017
