Cross-referencing parts from other models to the W113
« on: November 14, 2020, 16:31:12 »
Does anyone know if there is a resource for cross-referencing parts off a W112, W108, etc. to the W113? It would be wonderful to have that available, and useful on Ebay, but probably a real pita to create.

This has been discussed before on the forum. I did a search and found this to be the most relevant:

The EPC has been replaced by the X-Portal system. You can cross reference part numbers there.

There are several variants - I use WebParts, all of them are based on Daimler platform.

A cross-reference manual was published by the factory years ago for some of the models of the time.  The one I have only covers 180, 190, 220,300 sedans, also 190sl and 300sl models. It was publication #19005 "Ubersichtslatter Fahrgestell-Ersatzteile"  (Survey Sheets, Chassis Spare Parts) 1963.  Unfortunately it does not cover any W113 cars, but I suspect that there may be latter editions which do? It has nice illustrated cross reference tables which show what parts are used in common with different models and list part numbers.

Does new EPC actually work like old EPC?  I tried it for a bit and found it to be difficult...

It is similar and, in fact much more intuitive.

For sure more comfortable.

What was it that you had issues with?

I guess I was so used to the totally non-intuitive EPC (old version) that the web-based version just seemed strange to me.   I'm not a current subscriber.  What is the fee to subscribe at this point with MB?

I was just trying to check, but I could not find it and I do not remember, sorry... EUR 45 or so... not sure.

I hated it initially. But now I appreciate it, actually...

I had subscribed to old EPC for many years and found it to be really valuable.  Now I'm not in the game as much...  Oh well.
