Here is a question for our UK members. How good is Bale's (as Ken Miles) Brummy dialect?

Let’s put it this way, I didn’t recognise Ken Miles accent as any found in the UK, although I’m sure he is a very good actor, but accents don’t appear to be his thing! 😂

It is unfortunate that Commercial Interests outweighed telling the whole truth.  As an example, one special character (real life) was never mentioned in the movie and no one played him.  A man named Joseph Macura was a key to making the Ford V8 engine suitable for LeMans.  He was my immediate boss at Ford for 4 years in England, Germany and the U.S. on a different special project in the late seventies and early eighties.  Here is where one can find the story of Joe Macura and his impact on Ford at Detroit and LeMans.  He was there through the whole thing.

Thanks, that's a good trailer. I really like the original Le Mans movie, my dad took me to see it with him when it first came out. The scene that made by far the most impression was the one where the driver is running, slow motion/normal, away from the wrecked Ferrari and then it explodes. It's nice to watch, no over-acting, over-the-top scenes or cheap effects, like in so many modern movies.
