Lubrication for injection pump
« on: December 17, 2020, 20:42:02 »
I have a 250 SL and would like to know if the injection pump is lubricated through engine oil or does it need to be lubricated separately.  If so what lubricant should be used?

Yours should have the separate oil supply. Confirm this by looking for the screw-in dip stick on the lower rear end of the IP. Your normal engine oil is fine to use in it. It is good to suck the old oil out and add fresh if it has not been changed.

and make sure you check  the oil level on the little dipstick (where you fill it), not fill it up to the hole.
