66 230 piston rings

I look at Hastings piston rings and there are few options listed. It all got little more complicated when I put the Mahle piston in to the mix. I don’t see a catalog listing for it. There is one for 250 though. The same 82.00mm bore, although the top ring is thicker (2mm). Definitely not the one.
I would like to know if the Mahle piston uses the same specks rings as the original Mercedes piston.

I had somewhat similar situation. Last year I  reconditioned my 250sl engine. It has original Mahle pistons 81.98mm.
Mercedes Classics of Germany supplied me with Mahle rings. But they were not the right ones. See the table below.

Alex at MB Classic said he can’t find the rings for my pistons. He said I will have to buy new set of pistons.
I started hunting over internet. One guy contacted me to say he got the rings for my car. Made by Hepolite for Mercedes. Perfect match.  Look at the photo.

Bali, thank you for posting your leads.
I’ve been at it steady and found some single rings to make a required set.
I’ll post it all here once I have it all in my hands and can physically confirm the fit.

The confusion regarding piston rings is probably due to the fact that 3 different generations of pistons were fitted to the SL230 .
Generation 1  with 4 rings ,24 mm bolt .
Generation 2 ,3 ring ,24 mm bolt . 
Generation 3 ,3 ring , 25 mm bolt.
Each generation was also available in 3 sizes 82mm ,82.5mm and 83mm . I have researched this after I purchased in error  a full set of 83mm Gen 2 MB pistons (for sale at half MB price. ) .
I believe all MB brand pistons were manufactured by Mahle for MB .
