When I bought my car 14 years ago, these mats came with the car, velour carpet with foam backing. I immediately ordered a full set (not rear tray) of black w/red dot cocomats from cocomats.com. I stored these mats well in a dry environment in bags. Fast forward to this fall, i got to thinking about them again. The cocomats are great, very practical, look great, but these are very unique and period. The previous owner bought them in the very early 70's. When I retrieved them, they were stiff, brittle and useless. I played with them a bit and with a scraper, removed all of the brittle foam backing from the mats (big mess). Then I removed all the stitching on the cracked vinyl binding and pulled it all off.
Put in a call to cocomats.com to ask if they could put the rubber backing of the cocomats on these and bind. They weren't sure, said to send them. I did, they glued to the rubber backing just fine, were bound and now I have "like new" vintage, unique floor mats for a 113 that have weight and stay put better than ever.
