Tail Light Bulb Holder Seal/Gasket
« on: March 16, 2021, 01:05:31 »
Hi all,
Does anyone have a US source for the rubber stripping around the bulb holder housing for the tail lights? (This at SLS --> https://www.sls-hh-shop.de/main/en/mercedes-230-280sl-w113-/82-lighting-and-wiper/82-a-lighting-units-standard/seallampholder-69-p-6900)
Thanks.

Mercedes-Benz:
A111 826 5058  2 times.  8)
Yikes..., has this part become expensive .... ::) ???

Try Bud's, Authenticclassic, K6k Manufacturing, Babak Boloori or the other typical sources.

That's some $ for that.
the picture of the package at Authentic Classics looks like it might be enough for both sides, (in which case I might be willing to replace my very beat up ones).
Wishful thinking?

Give George a call and ask.
But since the two ends are glued together it is probably just for one.
Why don't you order a pair from SLS?

I bought these from the Classic Center -- don't recall the price, but it wasn't exorbitant.  Both the Classic Center and Authentic will give you a discount for MBCA membership.  They are a bit fussy to install.  I wound up using some contact cement to get them to stay in place while reinstalling the bulb holders.
