I looked at a 1970 280sl friday which was just brought out of storage, last reg.02,need some advise because I dont know much about them. The body was silver,it ths been painted several times has laquer cracks on all flat pannels some body repair on l r quater,at some point it was two-toned with a med.met.blue on sides and top,has rust on rear body below tail lamps and l r wheel flair, minor dings all pannels appear original, all fit good.Interior fair needs seat covers, dash, steering wheel, wood trim, heater controls, hood cable, and raido, floor pans good no rust carpets fair.Engine misses on # 5 cyl ,think its the injector, under hood is very good all wiring in place and none cut, everything here appears original.Speedo shows 54000,has a manual shift, both tops,no a/c,would this be worth $4500

As a parts car it would be worth close to that. I'd buy it if I could.
