Clips for Aluminum Moulding
« on: July 02, 2024, 22:03:57 »
Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me exactly what clips are required to secure the aluminum moulding below the door on a ’69 280SL? The Technical Manual provides some excellent information however it is still unclear to me what clips are required for the 7 holes. My current setup doesn’t provide any clues as the strip was glued on.
I’m further baffled because the techie at Buds Benz advises (reportedly) that all I need is 10 of the single clip shown in the photo below whereas the Tech Manual indicates I need a combination of the 3 types shown in the other photo.
If anyone can help me out with this, I’d be very grateful.

John

This may help — but read all to the bottom.
