Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a very local "tire-kicking" event here in Copenhagen, we were only 5 cars, but the value of getting together locally was immense - both in terms of the social aspects (has yet to meet a Pagoda-owner that I didn't like), but also the exchange of practical tips - like using Cillit Bang to clean whitewalls and regular car wax to keep them looking clean (didn't see that advice coming) + lots of extra practical stuff. I was a little anxious that my car wouldn't be as nice as the others, but the 5 cars ranged from a VERY nice restored example to a scruffy, but completely original and charming daily driver. I am a lot happier and relaxed with my own car now...
So while this big international forum is a great tool, I can only recommend also getting together locally once in a while :-)
