Genuine Tool Kit?
« on: May 23, 2005, 22:10:59 »
Has anyone besides me noticed the rather large number of 113 tool kits being sold on eBay from Texas?  For example, check out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10076&item=4551332796&rd=1
The thing that these kits all seem to have in common is the lack of the Mercedes logo on the inside.  I have to wonder if someone is making replicas and selling them for OEM prices...

Hello David,
This looks to be original. Of coarse pictures can be decieving. Some 280SL kits had the special plastic fuse puller tool.

The special pouch, the plastic fuse pullers, and the long handled pliers are the tough items to come by. These are not found in the more common sedan tool kits.
