Fixed my seat with a pool noodle

I remembered seeing a post a while back that outlined using a foam pool noodle to firm up a sagging seat.  Well, I tried it and it works.  Easy too. I removed the seat from the car. Cut the noodle to fit and inserted it between the springs and reinstalled the seat.  Probably the easiest repair procedure I have ever preformed on my Pagoda and seat feels firm. yep... great tip. I did the same , after 56 years my drivers seat was a bit soggy (this German stuff just doesn't last! ) and all sorted now. Also the cheapest job ever done on the pagoda!

Great idea.  I also use the filling from inside of old comforters to puff up seats and worked especially well on head rests.

Did you replace the horse hair cushion too or continue to use the original?

I replaced the horse hair.  I noted recently Jon Bernadi’s recent post on the use of stainless steel ties on the springs looks a fantastic additional thing that i will do when i take out me seats next. I dont think you can go too hard as there will always be give just by the nature of the seating spring set up. So i would suggest both. The noodles hold the front of the seat up and the ties would firm up the squab.
