Cooper Classics is honored to present what we think may be one of the finest 190SLs extant. The result of a decade long project completed over two owners, this 1960 190SL is presented in Strawberry Metallic (DB543) which was a factory Mercedes Color at the time. This car was treated to the finest and most thorough restoration we have ever seen, completed by 190SL Legends Bruce Adams (who unfortunately passed away in 2021) and David Polny. The result is a breath taking 190SL that appears as new inside and out, with very little wear on the restoration which could have easily been completed 6 months ago. Documenting this restoration is three full Binders worth of receipts, invoices, narratives, repairs, and photos. This car was completed by a gentleman in Virginia who loved this car dearly and considered it part of his family until we acquired it. The car is a 2 times Best In Show Winner at the 190SL Group Concours, which is one of the toughest judging communities for 190SLs in existence. The car comes with numerous other awards asserting its claim as one of the nicest 190SLs in the world. The car is absolutely undeniably correct, as judged by some of the most stringent 190SL authorities. Matching numbers with its data card, the engine was rebuilt at the time of the restoration in 2006. The Soft top is an as new, beautiful Red German canvas top, which operates perfectly. The car has a hidden radio system, which is completely undetectable even by Concours Judges, but is highly functional. The underside of the car is museum quality, and you could eat off of it. The car comes with a charming and highly valuable collection of period correct accessories, coveted by true 190SL enthusiasts. Those items include: 5L Spare Gas Can (which fits inside of spare wheel), A Flashlight and Spot light, two Model 190SLs, First Aid Kit, 190SL branded tire pressure gauge, a full collection of repair manuals and spare catalogs, and of course, a full tool kit, and books.  All awards are included with the car, and the car comes with two boxes full of accessories. Contact us today for what we think is the finest and most breath taking 190SL in existence today. This 190SL comes with: books, tools, period correct accessories, manuals, two top covers, and spare wheel.

Very nice indeed. I only see a half dozen minor things that are wrong. Also, it looks like it might be running a little hot. The temperature gauge is almost pegged in the photos. All said, it is a magnificent restoration!
