I have one of these. Fun little cars. Nissan made only 20,000 of them in one year, 1991, for the Japanese market only. It was the most popular of four special cars they built from the Micra platform as a way to drum up excitement for the brand, which at the time was making mostly boring, boxy cars. It was really the first car that started the retro craze in the later '90s (PT Crusier, the retro T-Bird, BMW Mini, Chevy SSR, etc.).
They are very popular as imports in RHD countries, particularly in the UK and the rest of the former British Empire. I bought mine in Bristol several years ago and it's in the Netherlands now. Here's a pic of me with my Figaro in France last month, at a Figaro Club event.
I love my SLs, but I have to say that the Figaro gets more thumbs up and smiles than any other car I've owned. When I go to cars-and-coffee events, I always try to park next to a Ferrari, Lambo, Mazarati or Porsche and watch their owners frown as the little Fig draws all the attention!
