Back fire when releasing accelerator
« on: August 04, 2022, 02:46:11 »
I am experiencing back firing when driving a warm engine and backing off the accelerator….I believe this is due to a running rich condition of the engine but unsure how to correct it? Linkage adjustment has been done, so leads me to believe it maybe the fuel injection pump is in need of calibration…..any suggestions?
Thank you,
Bill

Some cars with emission systems have a deceleration solenoid. It cuts off the fuel from the IP when the gas pedal is released.
