Fuel Evaporator Tank tubing

I have read the previous threads on this subject but cannot determine where the fuel vent hose connects with the engine.  Anybody have a photo or can explain where that might be?  My hose is just loose in the engine compartment and is cracked.  Thanks for any help...

You should be able to see the banjo bolt at the front of the motor - probably has some remains of the black tubing. If you don't find it let us know. I remember seeing a photo someplace and will try to track it down if need be.   Lee

Thanks for the reply.  I have attached a photo of the metal fitting from the engine block connecting point connecting to a flexible hose that connects with the plastic tubing from the fuel tank.  (Is the metal fitting broken off from a bolt?) Part of the problem is I don’t know what I am searching for at the crankcase.  Having searched for a connecting point, I am at a loss.  It must be obvious, but I can’t locate the fitting.  I am assuming it is above the oil pan, and at the front, driver’s side of the engine block. Hoping this description makes sense😊. Thanks again for any help!

Right near the timing pointer on the front of the block.  The banjo bolt threads into a large hex headed plug in the block.  It might be the same plug that retains the timing pointer.

Thank you both for your help.  Found the fitting and broken tubing. Right above the crank and pointer.  Easy when you know what/where to look.  This group is amazing...so helpful.
