Business cards to hand out to fellow Pagoda owners
« on: August 03, 2021, 19:11:08 »
Going to an event? Cars and coffee? Print out this handy sheet, cut it along the lines and you have a bunch of cards to leave under windscreen wipers or give to fellow owners to get them to join our group!

For what it's worth, Avery offers pre-perfed business card stock that matches Peter's template for both laser (Avery 5571) and ink-jet (Avery 8571) printers, available at most any office supply outlet.  I find mine at both Staples and Office Depot on this side of the pond.

Custom ?

The organizers of PUB 2017 in Virginia found an apparel vendor who did PUB 2017 logo and Pagoda Group logo embroidered shirts, jackets, caps, etc. for pre-registered participants.  I would imagine that vendor could still have the logo specs on file.  Unfortunately, I have no recollection of who that vendor was and can't find a receipt for the items I ordered from them.  I can say that they sourced top quality apparel and their embroidery has stood up to repeated washing!

I have printed out a couple of sheets of business cards and put a few cards in each of our vehicles.  Thanks Peter!

The organizers of PUB 2017 in Virginia found an apparel vendor who did PUB 2017 logo and Pagoda Group logo embroidered shirts, jackets, caps, etc. for pre-registered participants.

Those of you with a LONG memory may recall that for each of the PUBs prior, I arranged for T-Shirts in advance and delivered them to those who bought them. Some were humorous, all were colorful. As PUB (Pagoda University Blacklick, when it was indeed in Blacklick, Ohio, at Joe Alexander's place) grew, and many were coming from overseas, the foreigners politely objected to T-Shirts (apparently an American tradition is viewed as mere underwear in much of the world) and in the last one I did, I arranged for embroidered shirts. They just happened to be of a Pagoda, because the guy who did them for me, was the former President of an MBCA section and also ran an embroidery business, so he had the program for a Pagoda. We added the PUB 2009 lettering below. For 2011, then President Ray Hays used a vendor he was familiar with for embroidered shirts I believe.  This was all long before we had a logo that can be embroidered. Our new logo, in existence now for several years, is suitable for print or embroidery. Our old logo was an excerpt of a photograph and not suitable for embroidery.

The new logo vs. the old logo was one of the things that held us back in the grille badge project. Once we finalized the logo, we were able to do the grille badges.

Those of you with a LONG memory may recall that ....
To continue the journey down memory lane ...
I remember that we handed a page of these cards out at the 2007 PUB for all to use.
They were also included in the new member package that Peter and I used to send out while splitting membership secretary chores. (The original had the text better aligned with the logo but my current software version is not compatible).
And speaking about memorable T-sheets. Some of you who were there may remember this one and the fellow.  ;D

Fellow member, Martijn, from the Netherlands gave me a hand full of cards at one of the Euro events.  I always keep a couple in my wallet and have put them to good use over the last couple of years.

That looks great Ralph, well done.

I made a Name Tag / type of give away tag myself that I hand out if I get ask questions regarding our cars and site. Along with cards from Peter van Es it will save me to write things down like our web site etc. Also  save time looking for pencil and paper :)

We also have a road trip comming up and I plan to make Name Tags
like this for the 10 members and there wifes or daughters.

Thanks Peter, I used your example design as a master :)

In fact, the idea is very interesting, as it will obviously attract interest in the forum.  I think you could also advertise on social media, as it would help a lot in spreading and popularizing. I remember reading an article on one site about marketing, which helped increase the number of visitors to my shop, this post was very useful. So I think it would be a good idea to try to spread it on Instagram or Tik Tok, for example, where people spend most of their time.
