Injection Pump and Injectors from sedan?

Hello All,

I found some potentially usable spare parts, but am not sure about the suitability for the W113:

1. Injection pump off a sedan, has the 6 plungers, and looks mostly identical, except the surface facing the engine (where oil supply line connects)has vertical ridges rather than being flat as on my 230SL.

2. The injectors from the above sedan.

Would these work, or can they be made to work, on the W113?  :?:

There was no difference between the injection pumps on sedan and W113 cars as long as the production era is close. Injection pumps used in the 250-SL and 280-SL are exactly the same in the SAME year 250-SE sedan and 280SE sedan. Minor changes were made from time to time on the pumps used in sedans and SLs. The 230-SL may be the exception. The sedans of their era had a two piston pump (220-SE)while the 230-SL had a six piston pump. The six piston sedan pump you are referring to must be from a later 250-SE, or 280-SE engine.  There is a small serial tag on the injection pump. It has a serial number and a "R" ID number for the series of the injection pump. I believe the R-11 was used on the 230-SL. There are probably about a dozen or so different pumps used on the later cars. If you get the "R" number off the sedan pump I can look it up. The BBB lists the pumps with the changes and differences. If you can get it cheap enough it may be nice to have as a spare  or for parts. I am sure it could be adjusted to work on the 230-SL. There probably are some other hook-up type things that may need to be workled out.  Later pumps did have some improved features.
Injectors are the same and should work just fine.
