« on: December 06, 2022, 11:02:03 »
Hello..
I wonder if anyone has a thermostat housing ( tall one) for an SL 230?
Mine is leaking through bodged up repair…

Not sure and not important as you show a picture, but I would not call this a thermostat housing.

Looks like I have to eat crow. It is called a "thermostat housing". To me, the thermostat housing was always the cast housing that holds the cooling thermostat... ::)

ther·mo·stat
/ˈTHərməˌstat/
noun
a device that automatically regulates temperature, or that activates a device when the temperature reaches a certain point.

So, I guess this is a thermostat housing since the device with the plunger inside the housing activates at a certain temperature.

Thank you…
Mine has a tiny leak in its side… the temperature starts to climb in traffic jams and I hope replacing solves the problem…
