MB-Tex in color 113
« on: June 19, 2005, 07:52:29 »
Can anyone help. I have been trying to find MB-Tex seat covers in what Mercedes-Benz calls 113 color, for a (beautifu) 1964 230SL I have owned for the past 18 years, and in which I have worn out/damaged the drivers (RHD) seat. The color is referred to as bronz and I cannot find it in Australia, nor with the usual suspects in USA. The Classic Center in Stuttgart also says they cannot help, except to emboss the center panels for me should I find the correct color vinyl.

Sorry I don't know either Barry, but I do hope someone here can help you out; I am facing the same problem with my original blue MB tex seat covers which are in need of replacement currently.

Barry, I too am looking for bronze-brown seat covers. I called World Upolstery (twice) as they have the color on their site as posted below and they sent incorrect color samples (twice). I called a third time and they suggested that I send them a swatch to match...kind of troubling because the color shown on their site looks darn close to the color needed. Anyway, I have not as yet gotten around to cutting a piece of my MB Tex and sending it to them. If it helps your cause...should you find the right color, let me know and we can buy two sets (can't hurt! ;) ). If you want to email directly please do so at kjcaputo@bellsouth.net.
