parts advice

Hello,

I was wondering what the best source of parts is. Namely brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders.

I have a barnfind type vehicle. Engine runs now but brakes are gripping. Wheels can rotate but not so freely. I was planning on replacing parts as above and flexible hoses with bleed etc.

whem I'am looking for spare parts I often use https://www.daparto.de/ first to get a good overview. In order to get a precise overview, I use the usual KBA numbers HSN/TSN for our vehicles here in Germany, see "Fahrzeugauswahl nach KBA-Nr." which means "vehicle selection according to KBA number".

You may find that new hoses will fix the problem. Though R&R of all components is a good idea if you don’t know the history. I believe the original ATE parts are best quality, at least for wheel cylinders. I had some ATE and some aftermarket (FTE?) and remember thinking the ATE were better constructed, though I don’t remember the difference. BTW those brake parts can all be rebuilt with new genuine seals and pistons as long as they’re clean inside.
If NZ prices are like AUS it would be cheaper to import, notwithstanding the import taxes. George at Authentic Classics is a reliable source. It would be worth checking his site for what you need.

I have sourced the parts from niemoller

Actually the car has been sitting for years so may replace the master and wheel cylinders

Hopefully I can get the car moving again. It is an auto so need some braking ability!!
