Backseat wood question
« on: February 09, 2024, 03:21:35 »
As I was looking at pictures of interiors I ran across this picture which seems to have a carpeted wood base in front of the kinder seat. Is this correct?

My car has a kinder seat and was curious if I should have one.

I have one too with my kinder seat. When I called GAT about my carpet set not having carpet for the wood cover he told me kinder seats don’t  have this cover. Not sure what to believe as I did not have any original carpet in the footwell below it and the carpet on the wood cover was identical to the rest of the original carpet.

Garry that turned out great thanks for sharing. Didn't make sense to me that there would be a wood platform below as there would be no where to place the feet.

Hi Guys,
I like the look of the carpeted LH cover. It is rather neat and finished off. Much better than a carpeted foot well.
When the grand child is going for a ride with Gramps, the LH cover goes in the boot/trunk and put back to cover the foot well when not needed.
Regards
Chris

Hi guys. I am owner of this Pagoda and in process of restoring at the moment. As you can see , I installed seatbelts as I do on each of my MB Pagoda . That is main reason for adding that cover, to hide seatbelts mechanism and it looks more finished to me . That seat it’s hardly used and very unsafe. If someone is to use it , takes 30 seconds to take cover and put it inside trunk.

I have the box also. I think the idea is to remove it when you have a passenger.
