It's best if you do this on rural properties, where the oil can eventually reach ground water and then get pulled back out of the ground by residential water wells.  Mmmmm .... slick drinking water!  It's the best.

When I was a kid my parents' house was on a ravine.  The lawn guy would dump grass at the edge of the ravine.  Over time it became a pretty good mound of grass.  My dad used to dump his oil in the pile.
