Sent my old radio to Becker in NJ
« on: August 18, 2024, 23:30:09 »
Sent my old radio to Becker in NJ, they couldn't fix it, so I bought another from them. It is a Becker AutoRadio Europa MU. Several things I have issues with, first it's the connector which on the radio is white plastic plug with one female and one male but my harness is also a white plastic plug but has two females, and the other one that I have no clue as to what it is except possible plug into the mono speaker. No instructions came with it.

Can you post a picture of the white plastic plug and the harness?

Radio info is here:

Here are the photos, hopefully this will be something simple like connection to the speaker, but then the next question is the white plastic plug on the wiring harness.

How was the original radio connected?

There are many kinds of wire connectors.

Radio plug - yes, goes to speaker.  I'm surprised Becker didn't include the other half.  Purchase same type or cut it off and put on whatever kind you want.

From harness - the power wire should come through a firewall grommet behind the glovebox.  Trace that wire to see if that's it.  Again, someone put a connector on it.  The one on the radio is bullet type so you will have to switch one or the other.
