Thanks, Bob -- you know, on that subject, my car was originally spec'd with coco mats. I've seen some deadstock varieties for like BMW 02s and the like. Is there a photo somewhere of the sort MBZ offered themselves? I've just got the jaspe type to match my 463.

It would be interesting to see, specially in period color photos, what the mats looked like that came from the dealers.

The discount mentioned is for, what I think everyone would say, the standard available today.

I had one rancid strip of old mat in the trunk for some reason, and a bit of cleaning showed it to be very much like 'natural and white' seen here: https://cocomats.com/coco-mats/

But some of the old ones often have very interesting patterns... this one is sorta like the jaspe type offered by CocoMats, though a bit more orderly: https://www.classiceuroparts.com/product/cocoa-coco-floor-mat-set-for-bmw-e10-e6-1502-1602-1802-2002-tii-original-nos/ (not mine, no association)

I love 'em!
