Hickory, NC 10/12/24

From friendships developed here at SL113.org, member Eddie Black (jeblack123) along with Al (aagost) and Denise Agostinelli, Jorge Espinoza and Miriam, and new Pagoda group member and new owner (congratulations!) James Hill organized a get together in Hickory, NC. Equally a long drive from Pittsburgh, NYC and Georgia. Eddie called me the week prior to see if the Oktoberfest even was still being held, and the answer was yes--no hurricane damage in Hickory. It was only a short drive for me from Davidson, about an hour, so I was able to join this fun group of friends for the day. It was a beautiful weekend and a great day for driving!

That looks like a great time!

I strongly encourage members to organize little get togethers like this, even if it's just a couple cars.  You get to know someone and get to learn more about the Pagodas.

It was a great time!  A nice "GTG" of Pagoda friends from Pittsburgh, NYC, Atlanta and me from NC.
I'll add the Hickory Oktoberfest--with or without Pagodas--to my to do list for next year.
I agree--it's all about the fun and the people and learning. No better way to do it that a small GTG.
