Ferrari 288 GTO at 40
« on: October 09, 2024, 09:47:28 »
The Ferrari Legacy Tour this year was for the 288GTO, in the Dolomites, in the rain.

A local chap has one and I just chatted to him as his car was being unloaded from a transporter containing 4 of them ($~3.5mm each). They had a full time team of mechanics on tour, 2 broke down and had to retire, and one caught fire (the body is glass-fibre).
And getting them restarted after a rainy night was an issue as the distributors got very wet

It all looks very "supervised" and lacking in picnics/wine tastings.  ;)

They'd need to get some reliable cars first
