Soft top frame impacted by chrome cover
« on: March 09, 2025, 01:51:32 »
The only way I am able to put the soft top up is to remove the chrome 'covers' behind the doors or 'force it' through the gaps in the chrome covers.  On the drivers side the frame hits the bottom of the chrome cover and the only way to get it to pass by the chrome piece is to use brute force, therefore scratching the chrome and I'm afraid I'm going to break something.  Am I missing a spacer or something that aligns the soft top frame with the gaps in the chrome piece so that it rises properly?

See attached.

Thanks!!

Try loosening the attachment bolts where the top frame bolts to the body. There may be some adjustment there so you can move the frame outward allowing it to align with your chrome. After moving the frame outward, tighten the bolts.
