Worn out Head rests
« on: September 22, 2005, 14:55:48 »
Hello,

I am new to this forum.  I have a red '69 280sl.  Black MB tex.  The seams on both headrests have finally deterioated alway.  Is there a way to fix them or do I have to buy new ones?  If I have to buy, where is a good place?  Can they be fixed as a DIY project?

Mrfatboy,

I would check with Millers or Bud's Benz (they both have internet sites and 800 access), they may have a used set to sell you.  Repair is probably a long shot unless you are prepared to redo the entire seat, in which case tex or leather kits are available.  Hope that helps,

thanks everybody.  I ordered them from World UPH.  $30 each.  Half the price of GAHH.
