Experience with SLS in Germany

SLS has been referred to sevaral times on this board for hard to find parts and for their excellent blowups of W113 systems.  I just received an order from them, a bunch of miscellaneous parts that I could not find here in the U.S., and my experience was very positive.  Their communications were solid, prices are good (about 25% below dealer) and they were able to source some pieces that I could not get at Millers, Buds, or the dealership.  The shipping added about 20% to the cost, but I was able to get a few parts, such as the roller bearing for my throttle linkage, that were only available as a complete set here in the States.  And the parts are all Mercedes or OEM, no knockoffs.  The gas pedal for my 4-speed was $80 (60 euros) compared to the one recently sold on Ebay for $400.

Just thought I would add this to the reliable suppliers list.

Best,

Most discussion I had noticed concerning SLS was positive so I took my first plunge about a month ago. Same sort of experience as noted above. Most parts were for my differential so lots of margin for error but everything was delivered on time and went in just fine. Car is running great so the parts seemed to do the trick.

Let me add , that for us that rebuild/refurbish parts and assemblies , they are very cool in the sense that you can get bushings , brushes , kits ,etc. that at one time were available here , but lomg since gone.
If you do get into this scale of repair , it is sooo nice to rebush a $150 part for $4 worth of bushings and wind up with a rebuilt part.
As a veteran tech , I find  them invaluable and one of the reasons I have beeen a Benz fan for 40 years is that these chassis were built with the mechanics in mind , by design, to have sub assemblies that can be repaired. ..and SLS know that and continues to supply the kits.

I am also positive about sls. They even run parts which are not in their catalogue, f.e. the protection trim for the bumper guards. Just give them a call and they give a good and clear advice, f.e. be carafull with the rubber string under the chrom part around the lid that covers the soft top storage. This is not available anymore. I am planning to visit them when being in Hamburg next year.

I have just had my first experience of using SLS being able to obtain parts that I was told were unavailable in the UK.

Their service was exemplary and prices compared very favourably to either the MB dealers or specialists here.

I bought spare parts several times from SLS in Hamburg, Germany, and their service is ok. They are responsive, although their prices are not the lowest on the market.
