The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center has posted its model index for all classic cars from 1924 up to the 107/123 series vehicles online.
It includes the model index, model designation, construction designation, production period and engine designation/code.

To access it, go to www.mercedes-benz/classic-center, then on the left side click on Information, then on the left side click on Contact, scroll down to Index 1 (1924-1945 sorted by construction design code), 2 (1924-1945 sorted by production period)  or 3 (since 1946), click on the Index you like to see and a pdf file with the list will be opened.

When I went in, this was all in German, and I did not see an option for English. The first two instructions were close enough to get me to the contact page, then I picked the first option of the two in the contact window (fragen sp?) and then there are the list of three indexes as listed by Klaus.
