Some new Photos...
« on: June 19, 2005, 11:52:03 »
Hello Pagoda - Friends.
My very big love, my wife, always says, I'm a crazy one.
It is a bit jealous. I think.
My pagoda? She isn't perfect. For this she is also 35 years old.
The varnish isn't the best one. But I don't send my wife to the beauty surgeon because of a couple of folds at once either.
This and a healthy technology is more importantly to me than  Conncour d' Elegance car. I want to have joke with my car.
And therefore I always have got my camera. Perhaps you like my pictures.

Sehr schon! Another US-specification Pagode. My favorite is the one next to the horse stables.

Yep!  The first shot at the stable is really nice.  The second, 3/4 rear view, with the yellow field in the background is calendar quality!

Detlef:
I noticed front bumper guards in some of the photos, but not in others. I assume you deleted them so that, along with the headlights you have a more Euro look. Now, consider losing those US side marker reflectors and no one will be the wiser (unless they look at the speedometer which I assume is MPH rather than KPH?)
These are some nice photos. Are you in the architecture/design profession in Germany? I ask because many of your shots are very 'architectural' in nature. Thanks for sharing.

@ Ed.
Watched well. I unscrewed the bumpers a couple of weeks ago.
The Instrumente are already exchanged, too. The side lights come down in winter.
For your question: We live in a time, at which cars look always more like soap-pieces designed in a wind-channel. Many young people, who see a pagoda in the street today, don't even know what it is for a car brand. Till they see the Mercedes-Star.
I
m a incurable nostalgiker. So my pagoda is a toy for me, like a old metal-Toy for tall Boys and most important, a memory.
I have taken the last photos in the old East-Port of Frankfurt. Here stood till a couple of years ago, beautiful old storehouses, cranes and a very big old Market-Hall. At a young man, there I sometimes watched one's activities in the morning at 6.00 hours, how workers fruits have unloaded and packed.
Therefore I think, the immortal beauty of a pagoda can be shown in front of a quiet background like an old building or bridge best.

Hello friends.
It is fall and we have a terrific sunshine.
Time for Topless-Cruising.
I have taken a couple of pictures again.
