I believe one of our members from Down Under has an identical car. These "Utes" are popular down there but I'm not sure where they were made/converted !

I saw one in person a few years back too and it was a gold 1969 280SE with a 4 speed on the floor.  Was in very rough shape and looked like an authentic conversion.  The one on the ebay looks like it has Mazda wagon taillights on it.  Yikes!  The gold one I saw retained the original taillights from the W108 and the tailgate flipped down above them.  I'll have to dig up my archives again for the pictures.  Oh yeah it was also a right hooker like the down under ones and had plates from Oklahoma.
