Nardi Steering Wheel
« on: April 14, 2006, 12:06:35 »
My '69 has the Nardi steering wheel - yes, I am aware of all of the HORN problems... mine sticks when I honk the horn - have lubed it to no avail - cannot get the horn button out of the wheel - should it just pop out (prying the sides)? OR... is there a secret way to remove it... tried turning it, prying it, and anything else I could think of???

The horn button is part of the assembly below it.  To remove the horn button you must gently pry the outer ring off the steering wheel.  Follow the spokes of the steering wheel in towards the ring.  At the seam of the ring and spoke gently pry the ring off at several locations around the ring. The ring is held in place by rubber washers and should come off easily.
