Of note, this car does also appear to be a 2+2 coupe, meaning NO SOFTTOP. Overall I think the balance of those two is definitely still in the negative column.

Having picked up a spare hardtop that has a Webasto sunroof, it's my opinion that they are well constucted but having a hole in the hardtop is definitely just an unusual gimmick. The softtop, while it seems that there's a lot of criticism about it, I think is constructed very well and an essential part of an open tourer. I just don't understand why they constructed these so-called 2+2 "California coupes." But I don't know much about the cars in general.

Our softtops, while maybe not the most foolproof features of the chassis, are certainly two standard deviations above the mean on the bell curve for softtops of the era. Certainly with respect to Italian and British tops.

Additionally, the car is described as mechanically "perfect." The car does not appear to be one that is kept mechanically perfect. I would simply investigate the car in person before becoming one of the "private bidders."
