Pagoda for hire? - Italy or UK?
« on: May 01, 2006, 03:27:54 »
Hi, I'm going to be in the Rome area during the end of June and wondered if anyone know of a company that is hiring W113's?

I found one, www.sprintage.com , but their understanding of a Pagoda is not the same as mine....Anyway, anyone with any great ideas are always appreciated..in advance!

Thanks again!
paulo

The white 1965 FIAT 1500 Cabriolet looks like a close cousin to our Pagodas.

- Hood sloping down to a wide grill.
- Wide black grill, positioned lower than the headlights.
- Raised ridge along each rear fender top, from the rear of the doors to the tail lights.

Can you guys spot more?

The steering wheel could pass for a cross between a 113 and a Nardi. Also if the upper side molding was down down on the doors.

From the front, I'd say it more resembles a later Triumph (maybe TR6?)

Okay, so there are maybe no Pagodas for hire in Italy..

What about the UK or anywhere else? Has anyone been able to rent one for the weekend. It would be a great try before I buy experience (still haven't driven one!).

Paulo,
You're in Aberdeen - that's in the UK?  There are a lot of members here who would probably be very generous in showing you their car and maybe letting you drive it.  Talk to a member in person if possible, you'll learn quite a lot!

Yup, Aberdeen, North East Scotland.

A member from Edinburgh has indeed offered to show me round one of his Pagodas (thanks Andrew). Much appreciated :-)

I heard about a pagoda for rent on Mallorca: a "spanish paradise", safe as a island can be, with beautiful roads; a dream with a pagoda. There has been also oldtimer rallies on this island.here the rally:http://www.cabrionews.de/ontour/02/tbc02/gr/t5126.jpg
